2023.09.21 — Ch 10 is pure expository dialogue. I’m done.
2023.09.21 — Ch 9 and no better. The inconsistent use of camel-coded compound words is annoying. The author uses camel code capitalization style, which is often used in coding to avoid using spaces, for lowReds, drillBoy, ripWings and gravBoots but does not apply the style consistently. For example, frysuit, ArchGovernor, Helldiver, tunnelroad, worndown and many other author-coined compound words are not camel-coded.
2023.09.20 — As I start Chapter 6, I’m disappointed and wondering how it became a bestseller. I’m not the target YA audience, but have found many YA works to be good reads.
